Ne-Yo - Never Knew I Needed (Princess and the Frog OST)

Hmm... just watched "The Princess and the Frog" recently and it was quite good. I like the ending track, and here it is. Realize that the MTV somehow matches the movie, and reminds me of Raymond and Evangeline.

(Ooh)
For the way you changed my plans
For being the perfect distraction
For the way you took the idea that I have
Of everything that I wanted to have
And made me see there was something missing (Oh yeah)
For the ending of my first begin
(Ooh yeah yeah)(Ooh yeah yeah)
And for the rare and unexpected friend
(Ooh yeah yeah)(Ooh yeah yeah)
For the way you're something that I never choose
But at the same time something I don't wanna lose
And never wanna be without ever again (oh oh)

You're the best thing I never knew I needed
So when you were here I had no idea
You're the best thing I never knew I needed
So now it's so clear I need you here always

My accidental happily (ever after) (oh oh oh)
The way you smile and how you comfort me (with your laughter)
I must admit you were not a part of my book
But now if you open it up and take a look
You're the beginning and the end of every chapter (oh oh)

You're the best thing I never knew I needed (oh)
So when you were here I had no idea
You're the best thing I never knew I needed (that I needed)
So now it's so clear I need you here always

Who'd knew that I'd be here (who'd knew that I'd be here oh oh)
So unexpectedly (so unexpectedly oh oh)
Undeniablely happy (hey)
Said with you right here, right here next to me (oh)

Girl you're the..
You're the best thing I never knew I needed (said I needed oh oh)
So when you were here I had no idea
You're the best thing I never knew I needed (needed oh)
So now it's so clear I need you here always
Baby baby
Now it's so clear I need you here always

All-Time Essentials for Entrepreneurs

This is the book that I'm reading currently. A good motivating tool and mind opener. I shall share some of the power phrases or statements which I found useful from this book:

"Some people dream of great accomplishments, while others stay awake and do them." [Anonymous]

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the one you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." [Mark Twain, 1835-1910]

"Keep on going and the chances are you will stumble on something, perhaps when you least expecting it. I have never heard of anyone stumbling on something sitting down." [Charles Kettering, 1876-1958]

"Opportunity often comes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat." [Napoleon Hill, 1883-1970]

"We have two ears and one mouth so that we can listen twice as much as we speak." [Epictetus, 55-135]

"The critical ingredient is getting off your butt and doing something. It's as simple as that. A lot of people have ideas, but there are few who decide to do something about them now. Not tomorrow. Not next week. But today. The true entrepreneur is a doer, not a dreamer." [Nolan Bushnell, 1943- ]

"Losers visualize the penalties of failure. Winners visualize the rewards of success." [William S. Gilbert, 1836-1911]

"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." [Thomas Edison, 1847-1931]

"You can get everything in life you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want." [Zig Ziglar, 1926- ]

"In any situation, the best thing you can do is the right thing; the next best thing you can do is the wrong thing; the worst thing you can do is nothing." [Theodore Roosevelt, 1858-1919]

"A bank is a place that will lend you money if you can prove that you don't need it." [Bob Hope, 1903-2003]

"Repetition makes reputation and reputation makes customers." [Elizabeth Arden, 1878-1966]

"Investors don't like uncertainty." [Kenneth Lay, 1942-2006]

"Goodwill is the one and only asset that competition cannot undersell or destroy." [Ludwig Borne, 1786-1837]

"The difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra." [Jimmy Johnson, 1943- ]

"Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer." [Sun Tzu, 544-496 BCE]

"Business is like riding a bicycle. Either you keep moving or you fall down." [Frank Llyod Wright, 1867-1959]

"The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing." [Walt Disney, 1901-1966]

"It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but rather the one most responsive to change." [Charles Darwin, 1809-1882]

"Formula for success: under promise and over deliver." [Tom Peters, 1942- ]

"In sales, a referral is the key to the door of resistance." [Bo Bennett, 1972- ]

"If it's free, it's advice; if you pay for it, it's counseling, if you can use either one, it's a miracle." [Jack Adams, 1895-1968]

"Be everywhere, do everything, and never fail to astonish the customer." [Motto of US retail chain Macy]

"A friendship founded on business is better than a business founded on friendship." [John D. Rockefeller, 1839-1937]

"I have never worked a day in my life without selling. If I believe in something, I sell it, and I sell it hard." [Estee Lauder, 1906-2004]

"The only place where success comes before work is in the dictionary." [Vince Lombardi, 1913-1970]

"Some people fold after making one timid request. They quit too soon. Keep asking until you find the answers. In sales there are usually four or five 'no's' before you get a 'yes'." [Jack Canfield, 1944- ]

"I've always worked very, very hard, and the harder I worked, the luckier I got." [Alan Bond, 1938- ]

"A journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step." [Lao Tzu, c. 600 BCE]

"Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple." [Theodor Seuss Geisel, 1904-1991]

"Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won't, so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can't." [Anonymous]

Kyosuke Himuro featuring Gerald Way - Safe and Sound (OST: Final Fantasy Advent Children Complete)

Great song from a great movie. Although Kyosuke's English singing was not very clear, but still a great song especially when Gerald Way comes in. Way too cool.

And all my hopes and dreams
Aren't for anyone
I keep them safe and sound

And hope this picture is
Not yours anymore
But can you hear me now?

Now that's okay man
Ill say it across this land,
You should have kissed me baby

So try and stop me
Or so forgive this light
Cause I can't beg all night

Until my heart stops beating
You'll never hear me say
I won't kiss you

If I say,
Its lost its beating
If I cant find my way
Its over now

But I won't
Walk away

Until the day (Whoa, whoa)
I'm never backing down (Whoa, whoa)
And hear me say (Whoa, whoa)
I'll keep it safe and sound (Whoa, whoa)
I'll keep it safe and

This hopeless feeling
This fear of falling down
But I'm not crashing now

For all this bleeding
It wasn't worth the sound
A million screaming out loud

And still
The earth comes reeling
The curtain calls my name
I'm not afraid

And I know
You may not miss me
But I am not ashamed
The choice I made

But I can't
Let this go

Until the day
(Whoa, whoa)
Im never backing down
(Whoa, whoa)
Just hear me say
(Whoa, whoa)
Ill keep it safe and sound
(Whoa, whoa)
Ill keep it safe and

No dashing car
Or a dying star
That's raced into the ground

Like the final words
Of the passengers
Will the angels give it all?

Were the world
Watch us fall

Until the day (Whoa, whoa)
I'm never backing down (Whoa, whoa)
Just hear me say (Whoa, whoa)
I'll keep it safe and sound (Whoa, whoa)
Keep it safe and sound (Whoa, whoa)
Keep it safe and sound (Whoa, whoa)
Keep it safe and sound (Whoa, whoa)
Keep it safe and sound (Whoa, whoa)
Keep it safe and sound (Whoa, whoa)
Keep it safe and sound (Whoa, whoa)
Keep it safe and sound

Tea Time at New York New York Deli

Was pretty hungry last Saturday before watching the 4:20pm show for Final Destination. Looking forward for some light snack and ended up in New York New York Deli. I am quite fanatic with its sandwiches, and here are my snacks of the day:

Without any doubt, I have ordered my all time favorite Mo' Mushroom (RM 10.90). A sandwich that filled with cheese, mushroom (lots of them), and onion (lots of them). It supposed to be served in 2 slices, however in order to snap the photo below, I have to clear off one of the slices first. Juicy mushroom all over the mouth! Ah~~~

One sandwich would be too little for 2 pax, hence I have ordered another sandwich which know as Smoked Salmon Velvet (RM 14.90). As the name implies and the photo illustrated below, it is a sandwich that full of smoked salmon and mushroom (again). Although I love Mo' Mushroom, but this one is much more satisfying and healthy since Mo' Mushroom is rather oily compare to this one. Juicy salmon all over the mouth! Ah~~~

Conclusion:

Mo' Mushroom - :D
Smoked Salmon Velvet - :D

With 10% of government taxes, kaching! RM 28.40 as the final bill.

Green Day - 21 Guns (OST of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen)

Great song. Check out the album art, it actually appears in the video.

Do you know what's worth fighting for?
When it's not worth dying for?
Does it take your breath away
And you feel yourself suffocating?

Does the pain weigh out the pride?
And you look for a place to hide?
Did someone break your heart inside?
You're in ruins

One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms, give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky, you and I

When you're at the end of the road
And you lost all sense of control
And your thoughts have taken their toll
When your mind breaks the spirit of your soul

Your faith walks on broken glass
And the hangover doesn't pass
Nothing's ever built to last
You're in ruins

One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms, give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky, you and I

Did you try to live on your own
When you burned down the house and home?
Did you stand too close to the fire
Like a liar looking for forgiveness from a stone?

When it's time to live and let die
And you can't get another try
Something inside this heart has died
You're in ruins

One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms, give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky

One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms, give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky, you and I

Michael Jackson - Earth Song

A message to the human being.

What about sunrise
What about rain
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain.. .
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've shed before
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores?

Aaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaah

What have we done to the world
Look what we've done
What about all the peace
That you pledge your only son...
What about flowering fields
Is there a time
What about all the dreams
That you said was yours and mine...
Did you ever stop to notice
All the children dead from war
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores

Aaaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaaah

I used to dream
I used to glance beyond the stars
Now I don't know where we are
Although I know we've drifted far

Aaaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaaaah
Aaaaaaaaaaah Aaaaaaaaaaaah

Hey, what about yesterday
(What about us)
What about the seas
(What about us)
The heavens are falling down
(What about us)
I can't even breathe
(What about us)
What about the bleeding Earth
(What about us)
Can't we feel its wounds
(What about us)
What about nature's worth
(ooo,ooo)
It's our planet's womb
(What about us)
What about animals
(What about it)
We've turned kingdoms to dust
(What about us)
What about elephants
(What about us)
Have we lost their trust
(What about us)
What about crying whales
(What about us)
We're ravaging the seas
(What about us)
What about forest trails
(ooo, ooo)
Burnt despite our pleas
(What about us)
What about the holy land
(What about it)
Torn apart by creed
(What about us)
What about the common man
(What about us)
Can't we set him free
(What about us)
What about children dying
(What about us)
Can't you hear them cry
(What about us)
Where did we go wrong
(ooo, ooo)
Someone tell me why
(What about us)
What about babies
(What about it)
What about the days
(What about us)
What about all their joy
(What about us)
What about the man
(What about us)
What about the crying man
(What about us)
What about Abraham
(What was us)
What about death again
(ooo, ooo)
Do we give a damn

Michael Jackson - Will You Be There

Great song. I believe it inspired a lot of people, and keep inspiring in the future.

Hold Me
Like The River Jordan
And I Will Then Say To Thee
You Are My Friend

Carry Me
Like You Are My Brother
Love Me Like A Mother
Would You Be There?

Weary
Tell Me Will You Hold Me
When Wrong, Will You Scold Me
When Lost Will You Find Me?

But They Told Me
A Man Should Be Faithful
And Walk When Not Able
And Fight Till The End
But I'm Only Human

Everyone's Taking Control Of Me
Seems That The World's
Got A Role For Me
I'm So Confused
Will You Show To Me
You'll Be There For Me
And Care Enough To Bear Me

(Hold Me) show me
(Lay Your Head Lowly)
told me
(Softly Then Boldly)
(Carry Me There)
I'm Only Human

(Lead Me)
hold me
(Love Me And Feed Me)
ye yeah
(Kiss Me And Free Me)
yeah
(I Will Feel Blessed)
I'm Only Human

(Carry)
Carry
(Carry Me Boldly)
Carry me
(Lift Me Up Slowly)
yeah
(Carry Me There)
I'm Only Human

(Save Me)
need me
(Heal Me And Bathe Me)
lift me up lift me up
(Softly You Say To Me)
(I Will Be There)
I Will Be There

(Lift Me)
I'm gonna care
(Lift Me Up Slowly)
(Carry Me Boldly)
yeah
(Show Me You Care)
Show Me You Care

(Hold Me)
whoooo
(Lay Your Head Lowly)
i get lonely some times
(Softly Then Boldly)
i get lonely
(Carry Me There)
yeah yeah carry me there
yeah yeah yeah

In Our Darkest Hour
In My Deepest Despair
Will You Still Care?
Will You Be There?
In My Trials
And My Tribulations
Through Our Doubts
And Frustrations
In My Violence
In My Turbulence
Through My Fear
And My Confessions
In My Anguish And My Pain
Through My Joy And My Sorrow
In The Promise Of Another Tomorrow
I'll Never Let You Part
For You're Always In My Heart.

Forbidden Words to I.T. Support Personnel

There are always words that you feel extra sensitive on, same goes to experts like I.T. Support. Here are some of the top words that can kill the day of an I.T. Support [does not follow by sequence, since all carries equal damage]:
  • "Wah... you so free ah today, surfing net only..." said by colleague
  • "Wah!!! You made so little changes and charge me 1 man-day ah??!!" said by client
  • "I need a timeline for this support effort!" said by client
  • "Urgent! Please resolved A.S.A.P!" said by client
  • "What take you so long to solve this?" said by client
  • "Once the system on live, is no longer our problem, is support problem." said by colleague
  • "Hey dude, I found a bug in the system, but I guess user doesn't know. Why not I deploy to live first, and you support guys fix it later." said by colleague
  • "Support is so important you know?!" said by colleague
  • "Have you Google for your problem yet?" said by colleague
  • "You already Google? Have you tried Yahoo! then?" said by colleague
Well, these are some of the high damage words that can bring down I.T. support motivation especially when they are spoken in the wrong timing. Perhaps I will write out the reason why these words caused damage in near future. Lazy to write now :)

Why I use Mozilla Firefox?

I'd actually used a lot of browser before I settle down with Mozilla Firefox. Opera and Safari are the browsers that I'd used for many years, I fancy Speed Dial from Opera and the appearance of Safari, but both of them are not perfect browser to me. I often faced difficulties when come to downloading with Safari, but Opera looks quite dull sometimes. Until I found Firefox with its tremendous of add-ons, I finally found my best browser. Just some sharing on what kind of add-ons actually move me to use Mozilla Firefox :

AnyColor: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6991

AnyColor is the add-on that allows you to make your browser looks more colorful, also with glossy effects. My Firefox is in sky blue now :)

Download Statusbar: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/26

Download Statusbar replaces the annoying download window that gets in your way when browsing.

Firebug: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1843

Now, with Firebug, web developer can easily view and edit CSS, HTML, and JavaScript in any website he/she is browsing. A good debugging tool.

FoxTab: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8879

Very often I having problem to navigate through tabs if they went beyond the width of my browser, but not anymore. FoxTab gives you a quick glance on all your open tabs, and it is more than what you can see from the image above.

FoxyTunes: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/219

Cool... I have save few clicks to open my music player while I'm browsing. Instead, my player is now embedded within my Firefox. Very impressive on the amount of players that it can support. Must get this add-on!

GooglePreview: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/189

By having this add-on, you can now have a first glance on your Google search result, plus those links also come with rating to show how reliable the results are to you.

Interclue: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4999

With Interclue, you will be able to know what is behind the link without needed to click on it. It gives you almost every information you need to know about the page that connected to the link :)

Personas: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/10900

Not only color, you can now have your own theme for your Firefox ranging from categories like abstract, sports, websites, music, and etc.

Quick TransLation: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5641

As the name implies, it is a quick translation tool. Just set your language or country to translate, then highlight the word you want to translate in the web page. Viola! you will have your word being translated!

QuickNote: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/46

Since Opera comes with notepad, I just want my Firefox to have one as well. In fact, it is quite a useful and handy add-on.

Speed Dial: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4810

This is the one I'm talking about. Speed Dial! It works exactly the same as the Opera but it is much more customizable. You can have any number of rows and columns for your speed dial, and you can even have multiple tabs to have different set of speed dial. What a brilliant idea.

Tab Scope: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/4882

With this add-on, you can now view your inactive tab by just hover you mouse cursor on the tab. Other than previewing the web content, you can also perform basic navigation from the scope, such as "Back", "Refresh", "Close", and etc. Cool!

The Nethernet: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/6336

No joke. This is a MMORPG where you can play with your Firefox. A simple yet addictive game that only requires you to browse around the Internet, but there are mines and traps around :)

Well, these are the add-ons that I have in my Firefox - my favorite web browser.

Linkin Park - New Divide (OST of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen)

Gosh, Chester's voice is still the best as usual!

I remembered black skies the lightning all around me
I remembered each flash as time began to blur
Like a startling sign that fate had finally found me
And your voice was all I heard
That I get what I deserve

(Chorus)
So give me reason to prove me wrong to wash this memory clean
Let the floods cross the distance in your eyes
Give me reason to fill this hole connect the space between
Let it be enough to reach the truth that lies
Across this new divide

There was nothing in sight but memories left abandoned
There was nowhere to hide the ashes fell like snow
And the ground caved in between where we were standing
And your voice was all I heard
That I get what I deserve

So give me reason to prove me wrong to wash this memory clean
Let the floods cross the distance in your eyes
Across this new divide

In every loss in every lie
In every truth that you'd deny
And each regret and each goodbye
was a mistake to great to hide
And your voice was all I heard
That I get what I deserve

[Chorus]

Dinner at The Ship

Went to The Ship for dinner last Sunday. Thought it would be expensive, but ended up quite reasonable. Sorry about the photos since I'm only using a phone camera plus the environment was rather dark.

For the appetizer, it was the 1/2 Dozen Escargots (RM 15.90). Small but delicious with the creamy and cheesy kind of dressing.

Next, you should also try the Seafood Chowder Soup (RM 9.90). It is a tomato or Thai kind of taste, but it doesn't have the strong sour taste. What we can find in the soup are: fish, squid, prawn, some vegetables. Erm... Love it!

As for the drinks, my girlfriend ordered a glass of mocktail known as Big Daddy (RM 8.00). Guess it is for the Father's Day promotion. I'd tried it after my meal and taste nicer than I thought. I don't really fancy in orange juice but this one come together with the taste of milk, cream, and orange, DUH! Should try if you like orange juice, coz you will love this. Perhaps.

Argh... shouldn't have ordered the salad coz it looks more like a Rojak to me, and not much surprise in it except the ham taste execellent. It is know as the Ship's Salad (RM 12.90), which consists of eggs, cheery tomato, cabbage, ham, and thousand island dressing. Nothing much, let's move on.

Here come the main course. Baked Fish (RM 22.90), which my girlfriend and I heard as "Big Fish" when it was served. Not much surprise, just fish fillet covers by cheese served with some vegetables, but is very filling. Small eater will be defeated by this meal.

Finally, ready to get cute and dirty. Kindda forgot what's the meal called, sounds something like Neptune Combo (RM 35.90), which served on a sizzling hot plate and you must be careful if you are wearning white. This is the dirty part. As for the cute part, the waiter actually come to me and wear me an apron... so sweet of him making me looks cute... and also a bit embarass. Anyway, the meal known as combo for the reason of having chicken fillet and tiger prawn in one plate. Also, not forget about the corn, the tomato, and the fries. Not much surprise as well, chicken tasted like chicken, prawn tasted like prawn. Still... no harm trying :p

Done. Again no more space for dessert. Will definitely try them on my next visit. So here's the conclusion:

1/2 Dozen Escargot - :)
Seafood Chowder Soup - :)
Big Daddy - :)
Ship's Salad - :|
Baked Fish - :|
Neptune Combo - :|

With 15% of taxes, kaching! RM 121.80 as the final bill.

Sum 41's Noots + Final Fantasy (Lots of them)

Today, it's too late,
How long do we have to wait.
Oh no, I think she knows,
That's why I can't let go.
I feel this burning inside,
A feeling that no one should know.
This could be so good again,
I'd wait here till then.
But not with this,
So now I'll leave with

(Chorus)
No apologies,
I never thought to be so
Easily deceived,
Now I'll just hang my head (falling further out of place).
While I walk with the dead (all the lies I can't erase),
I'll just hang my head!

We're mad with regret,
Memories that we'll both forget.
So far it's been so hard,
To cover up these scars.
I see this falling apart,
It's easy to just let it go.
No luck between us both,
So why keep waiting.
But not with this,
So now I'll leave with

[Chorus]

What's left to show,
It's so bad but I got to know.
What's right don't know,
How to find it out on my own.

(and here we go)
One by one we both fall down,
Who's the first one to hit the ground now.
(and here we go)
What's worse taking the fall,
Or be stuck standing alone.
(and here we go)
I'll keep your promises if you,
Take back every thing I said.
(and here we go)
I find its got so cold now,
That I've lost my heart and soul

[Chorus]

Dinner at Fish & Co.

Had my dinner at Fish & Co. yesterday, a place which you definitely should visit if you are a seafood lover. Some other restaurant may be better than this, but no harm trying something new right :)

Okay, first and foremost, this is what I'd always ordered as a starter, Mussels with Garlic and Lemon (RM 12.90). Can you see how creamy those little things are, sluuuurp. It may taste a bit salty if you just put those creamy sauce in to your stomach, that's why this meal comes with the bread slices shown below. Huurah!

Yeap. Basically the bread and the mussels came as a set. This is what I did: cut the bread into half, dip it into the creamy sauce, and... don't forget about the mussel. Place the little creamy mussel on top of the bread as a combination, and there goes into my stomach.

Next. New York Fish and Chips (RM 10.90). Quite plain actually, just fish and chip. Let's forget about the chips and stay focus on the fillet. Gosh, I forgot what fish is that, but you will find CHEESE in it. Cheese in a fillet, not bad, but could be a little oily and it's big portion (not all the time) of fillet could be a disaster for small eater.

Finally, Mushroom Fettucini (RM 14.90) with bla bla sauce and bla bla herb, can't really remember the full name. Erm... not bad actually, it doesn't tasted like the white sauce which we usually get, instead it tasted more like herb. Perhaps I can't click with the herbal taste, so don't really like it. Luckily the sauteed mushroom saved the day, it encouraged me to finish up the dish :) still, no harm trying.

Done. Stomach full with cheese and cream, no more room for dessert already. Will try them on some other day. So here's the conclusion:

Mussels with Garlic & Lemon - :)
New York Fish & Chips - :)
Mushroom Fettucini - :|

With 15% of taxes, kaching! RM 44.70 as the final bill.

Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc.

Hahahahahahahahaha,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good,
Feel good.........

City's breaking down on a camel's back.
They just have to go 'cause they don't know wack
So all you fill the streets it's appealing to see
You wont get out the county, 'cos you're bad and free
You've got a new horizon It's ephemeral style.
A melancholy town where we never smile.
And all I wanna hear is the message beep.
My dreams, they've got to kiss, because I don't get sleep, no..

(Chorus)
Windmill, Windmill for the land.
Turn forever hand in hand
Take it all in on your stride
It is sinking, falling down
Love forever love is free
Let's turn forever you and me
Windmill, windmill for the land
Is everybody in?

Laughing gas these hazmats, fast cats,
Lining them up-a like ass cracks,
Lay these ponies at the track
Its my chocolate attack.
Shit, I'm stepping in the heart of this here
Care bear bumping in the heart of this here
Watch me as I gravitate
Hahahahahahaa.
Yo, we gonna go ghost town,
This motown,
With yo sound
You're in the place
You gonna bite the dust
Can't fight with us
With yo sound
You kill the INC.
So don't stop, get it, get it
Until you're Jet Ahead.
Yo, watch the way I navigate
Hahahahahhaa

Feel good, AHHHHahahahah, AHHHHahahahah,
AHHHHahahahah, AHHHHahahahah

[Chorus]

Don't stop, get it, get it
We are your captains in it
Steady,
Watch me navigate,

Don't stop, get it, get it
We are your captains in it
Steady, watch me navigate
Ahahahahahhaa.

Gorillaz - El Manana

Great clip, nice song, poor Noodle.

Summer don't know me no more
Eager man, that's all

Summer don't know me
He just let me love in my sea
Cause I do know, Lord,
from you that
Just died, yeah

(Chorus)
I saw that day,
Lost my mind
Lord, I'll find
Maybe in time
You'll want to be mine

Don't stop the buck when it comes
It's the dawn, you'll see

Money won't get there
Ten years passed tonight
You'll flee

If you do that,
I'll be some
To find you

[Chorus Repeat x2]

Maybe in time
You'll want to be mine
Maybe in time
You'll want to be mine

T.I. featuring Justin Timberlake - Dead and Gone

Another nice song to share with...

Ay, lemme kick it to you right quick punk
Not on some gangsta or grown man
What matter is the more mistakes you made
Is which the way you learn from
Big Phil, this is for you baby

(Chorus)
Oh hey, I've been travelin' on this road too long
Just tryin' to find my way back home
But the old me's dead and gone
Dead and gone
And oh hey, I've been travelin' on this road too long
Just tryin' to find my way back home
But the old me's dead and gone
Dead and gone, dead and

Ever had one of them days wish you would have stayed home
Run into a group of niggas who gettin' their hate on
You walk by, they get wrong, you reply then shit get blown
Way out of proportion way past discussion
Just you against them, pick one then rush them
Figure you get jumped here that's next
They don't wanna stop there now they bustin'

Now you gushin', ambulance rushin'
You to the hospital with a bad concussion
Plus you hit four times but it hit yo spine
Paralyzed waist down and ya wheelchair bound
Never mind that now you lucky to be alive
Just thinkin' it all started fussin' wit three guys
Nigga pride in the way but your pride is the way you can fuck
Around get shot down any day

Niggas die everyday, all little bullshit
Dope money, dice games, ordinary hood shit
Could this be cuz of hip-hop music
Or did the ones with the good sense not use it?
Usually niggas don't know what to do when they back against the wall
So they just start shootin'
For red or for blue or for blow I guess
From Bankhead at the old projects

No more stress, now I'm straight
Now I get it, now I take time to think
Before I make mistakes just for my family stake
That part of me left yesterday
The heart of me is strong today
No regrets I'm blessed to say the old me dead and gone away

[Chorus]

I ain't neva been scared, I live through tragic
Situations could been dead lookin' back at it
Most of that shit didn't even have to happen
But you don't think about it when you out there trappin'
In the apartments hangin', smokin' and rappin'
Niggas start shit next thing we know we cappin'
Get locked up then didn't even get mad
Now I think about that what a life I had

Most of that shit look back just laugh
Some shit still look back get sad
Thinkin' my home boy still be around
Had I not hit the nigga in the mouth that time
I won that fight I lost that war
I could still see my nigga walkin' out that door
Who would of thought I'd never see Philant no more
Got enough dead homies I don't want no more

Cuz a nigga his jump cost me more
I'd a took that ass whoopin' out for sure
Now think before I risk my life
Take them chances to get my stripes
A nigga put his hands on me alright
Otherwise stand there talk shit all night
Cuz I hit you and you sue me
I shoot you get locked up poor me

No more stress now I'm straight
Now I get it now I take time to think
Before I make mistake just for my family stake
That part of me left yesterday
The heart of me is strong today
No regrets I'm blessed to say the old me dead and gone away

[Chorus]

I turn my head to the east, I don't see nobody by my side
I turn my head to the west, still nobody in sight
So I turn my head to the north, swallow that pill that they call pride
That old me's dead and gone but the new me will be alright
I turn my head to the east, I don't see nobody by my side
I turn my head to the west, still nobody in sight
So I turn my head to the north, swallow that pill that they call pride
That old me's dead and gone but the new me will be alright, 'cause

[Chorus]

Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within + Celine Dion's A New Day Has Come

Another nice clip to watch. Great song, a great movie that brought back a lot of memories. A touching movie indeed. At 3:07, Gray said: "I love you" to Aki before he gave his life to the Phantom. Touching scene.

A new day, oh oh
A new day, oh oh

I was waiting for so long
For a miracle to come
Everyone told me to be strong
Hold on and don't shed a tear

Through the darkness and good times
I knew I'd make it through
And the world thought I had it all
But I was waiting for you

(Chorus)
Hush, now
I see a light in the sky
Oh, it's almost blinding me
I can't believe
If I've been touched by an angel with love
Let the rain come down and wash away my tears
Let it fill my soul and drown my fears
Let it shatter the walls for a new sun

A new day has come, oh

Where it was dark now there's light
Where there was pain now there's joy
Where there was weakness, I found my strength
All in the eyes of a boy

[Chorus]

A new day has

Let the rain come down and wash away my tears
Let it fill my soul and drown my fears
Let it shatter the walls for a new sun
A new day has come, oh

Hush, now
Well I see a light in your eyes
All in the eyes of the boy
I can't believe
If I've been touched by an angel with love
I can't believe
If I've been touched by an angel with love

Hush, now
(Ahh, ahh)
A new day
(Ahh, ahh)
Hush, now
(Ahh, ahh)
A new day

The Script - The Man Who Can't Be Move

Going Back to the corner where I first saw you
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag I'm not gonna move
Got some words on cardboard, got your picture in my hand
saying, "if you see this girl can you tell her where I am"

Some try to hand me money, they don't understand
I'm not broke I'm just a broken hearted man
I know it makes no sense but what else can I do
How can I move on when I'm still in love with you

(Chorus)
Cuase If one day you wake up and find your missing me
and your heart starts to wonder where on this earth I could be
Thinkin maybe you'll come back here to the place that we'd meet
And you'll see me waiting for you on our corner of the street
So I'm not moving, I'm not moving

Policeman says, "son you can't stay here"
I said, "there's someone I'm waiting for If it's a day, a month, a year"
Gotta stand my ground even if it rains or snows
If she changes her mind this is the first place she will go

[Chorus]

I'm not moving, I'm not moving

People talk about the guy that's waiting on a girl
There are no holes in his shoes but a big hole in his world

Maybe i'll get famous as the man who can't be moved
Maybe you wont mean to but you'll see me on the news
And you'll come running to the corner
cuase you'll know it's just for you
I'm the man who can't be moved

[Chorus Repeat x2]

Going Back to the corner where I first saw you
Gonna camp in my sleeping bag I'm not gonna move

Dollar Cost Averaging

Here's another financial tip. Dollar Cost Averaging or DCA in short. Which is a terminology that says one should invest into the market bit by bit instead of putting one lump sum, because the former ended up produced more shares/units which yield to higher in return.

Let's say Andy and Tony would like to invest $3,000 into the same fund. Andy make it a lump sum investment at the beginning of the year, while Tony spreads his investment into 12 payments, which equivalent to $250 per month.

Believe it or not, at the end of the year, Tony will have an investment that is worth more than Andy although they investment in the same fund and enjoying the same buy price and sell price throughout the year.

Andy:
Lump Sum Investment
Tony:
Dollar Cost Averaging
Average Price/Share$10.00$9.25
Shares Accumulated300332.94
Current Value (12 months)$3,000$3,329.37

What actually happening is when the share price drop, Tony able to absorb more units and while the share price rise, Tony will buy in less units since he invested in a bit by bit manner. Perhaps you can have a better illustration from the image below :)

The Power of Compound Interest

"The most powerful force in the universe is compound interest." - Albert Einstein

Yes. As what Albert Einstein said, we should not under estimate the power of compound interest. Many knows how it works but not many actually knows it's power is strongly related to the time you start putting in your capital. In other word, WHEN you actually start your saving? Let's take a look at the example below:

Let's say Albert and Einstein both are 22 years old and wanted to retired at age of 65. Albert saves $2,000 yearly into the account which produce 12% of interest. This account will compounded it's interest yearly and added on top of Albert's next year savings. Albert only planned to save for 6 years period which is a sum of $12,000 and he did not put in another single cent from 7th years onwards. However the account will keep compounding the interest.

As for Einstein, he decided to save into the same account which produce the same 12% annual interest, but he only started the saving 6 years later, which is after Albert has stopped the saving. Knowing that he's a bit late compare to Albert, Einstein decided to save in $2,000 every year until his age of 65. His total saving capital will be $2,000 x 38 years = $76,000. However, due to Einstein started the saving few years later than Albert, although he saved 6 times more than Albert, yet he is only getting the similar amount as Albert's retirement fund.

AgeAlbertEinstein
22$2,240$0
234,5090
247,0500
259,8960
2613,0830
2716,6530
2818,6522,240
2920,8904,509
3023,3977,050
3541,23325,130
4072,66756,993
45128,064113,147

55397,746386,516
60700,965693,879
651,235,3391,235,557

Now you can really see the power of compound interest. The moral of the story is: Save early better than later, every single year counts.

The Rule of 72

Always wanted to share with people what I have known about some basic financial knowledge. In this case will be The Rule of 72. This rule is a simple yet accurate formula to calculate interest rate or period as in year.

For instance, by knowing the annual average interest rate of a bank is 8%, the period that it will take for your capital to double up will be 72 / 8 = 9 years.

Similarly, by knowing the average inflation rate is 6%, the period of a product that will raised from it's initial cost to a double will be 72 / 6 = 12 years.

Of course you may also calculate the interest rate or inflation rate base on the given period. Let's say you can actually know what is the interest rate have to be if you would like to have your capital to be doubled up in 24 years time. Just simply apply 72 / 24 = 3%

As I said, this formula is rather simple yet useful :)

My Brute

I was recently playing this cute lil fighting game call My Brute, which introduced by CyChew (MyBrute Nick: xoxgod). It is an automated fighting which you just need to lay back and watch how your character battle with another. Kindda new and fun concept where weapons and skills will be added to the character randomly as it levels up. Worth to give it a try if you have spare time :)

My Brute in Action

My Brute: Yaviel

My Brute: Gray Dante

My Brute: Cruxes

My Brute in Dojo (those are my pupil)

Looks fun right? You may challenge my character anytime by clicking on this link http://yaviel.mybrute.com. No worries about the level gap, the first challenge is just a warm up, later on you may pick any character in the game to challenge at :)

Who Moved My Cheese?

This is really a good book to read on. It only took me an hour plus to finish yet very meaningful. Just in case you don't have time to read. Below are some summary of it.

Cheese: Represents what we want to have in life. It could be relationship, job, money, and etc.

Maze: Represents where you spend time looking for what you want. It could be the relationships, the community you live in, as well as the organization you work in

Quotes in the Book:
  • Having cheese makes you happy
  • The more important your cheese is to you the more you want to hold on to it
  • If you do not change, you can become extinct
  • What would you do if you weren't afraid
  • Smell the cheese often so you know when it is getting old
  • Movement in a new direction helps you to find new cheese
  • When you move beyond your fear, you feel free
  • Imagining myself enjoying new cheese even before I find it, leads me to it
  • The quicker you let go of old cheese, the sooner you find new cheese
  • It is safer to search in the maze than remain in a cheeseless situation
  • Old beliefs do not lead you to new cheese
  • When you see that you can find and enjoy new cheese, you change course
  • Noticing small changes early helps you adapt to the bigger changes that are to come
  • They keep moving the cheese
  • Get ready for the cheese to move
  • Savor the adventure and enjoy the taste of new cheese
  • Move with the cheese and enjoy it
Some quotes are really meaningful to me, and guided me on a lot of decision making :)
